A dog named Pisco is safe after he was allegedly released from his kennel at the Richland County Dog Warden’s Office & Shelter in Mansfield, Ohio, prompting an hours-long search.
Surveillance footage reportedly showed a person letting Pisco out of his kennel before leaving the shelter. Pisco later ran after the vehicle and was eventually found near the fairgrounds. A woman who found him reportedly gave him a bath and took him for a pup cup before returning him to the shelter.
Officials said a suspect was apprehended and faces multiple charges related to the incident. Pisco now has a pending adoption and is expected to go to his new home Monday.
